5/17/12: I joined Rotary because Julie Boyland talked to me about it, she thought I would enjoy being a member. I was interested in learning more about Rotary. Donna Tiede

5/17/12: I believe Rotary at all levels helps many people. I especiall love working with the Youth Exchange Program. I have met so many great youth from around the world. Donna Tiede

5/16/12: Rotary is important to me because on a weekly basis in a 60 minute time slot, I can renew local community relationships, make a difference on a host of projects from local to global, and through programs - learn something. Ron Grothe

5/16/12: I visited Rotary, with no knowledge of it (Rotary) what so ever, because I was invited by one of our community leaders. Ron Grothe

05/15/12: Being a Rotarian helps give you a sense of person, knowing you are only one person but can help globally if working together for a common good.  You aren’t just getting involved locally in the community you are extending help to people in need internationally through programs which bring actual help to people who need it the most. John Kunkel

05/15/12: As a transplant to Le Sueur it allowed me to have a sense of community.  Because of Rotary I am recognizing people around town as well as build strong business relationships as well as friendships. John Kunkel

05/14/12: I stay with Rotary Because I can belong to a local group that promotes world understanding and peace. Doug Nelson

05/14/12: I joined Le Sueur Rotary because I was asked. Doug Nelson

05/13/12: I initially joined Rotary for the possibility of enhancing my business connections in the community. While this has happened, I think the more important question is, why have I stayed? I stay because I truly believe in the Rotary motto of Service above Self. Being a Rotarian provides me with the opportunity to serve my fellow man both locally and globally, and certainly accomplish more than I could just trying to do things on my own. Ann Porter

05/12/12: Being a part of Rotary provides an opportunity to gather with like minded civic individuals who care about their community and seek to make Le Sueur a better place to live; as well as helping to make the world a safer and healthy place to live. Bob Broeder

05/12/12: Joined Le Sueur Rotary Club because I was asked and previously had  been a member of the Rotary Club back in Illinois. Bob Broeder

05/11/12: Being a Le Sueur Rotarian keeps me connected with my community and challenges me as well.  I would definitely miss not being a member of Rotary. Paul Malchow

05/11/12: I initially came to a Rotary meeting simply because I was asked.  I stick around for the fellowship and what Rotary is capable of accomplishing on a local and international scale. Paul Malchow

05/10/12: Being a member of the Le Sueur Rotary Club is important to me because we have a great club whose members live out Rotary’s core values of integrity, fellowship, diversity, leadership, and service. Also, Rotary’s motto of Service Above Self is more than just words; it is a way of life that involves action. Newell Krogmann

05/09/12: I joined Le Sueur Rotary because I was invited by Dave Johnson and he told me that Rotary was a great way to connect to important people in the community. I've stayed in Rotary for the past five years because the people are phenomenal and the work we do matters. Nate Warden

05/09/12: Rotary is important to me for one reason "companionship". Caring for someone else besides myself. Loren B. Edberg

05/09/12: I like being involved in the many projects that we carry out to make our community, our country, and our world a better place to live. Julie Boyland

05/08/12: Being a member of the Le Sueur Rotary Club is important to me because we have a great club whose members live out Rotary’s core values of integrity, fellowship, diversity, leadership, and service. 05/4/12: I joined Rotary for the community feeling of the organization, I wanted to the community to prosper from the good deeds that Rotarians do. Loren B. Edberg

05/2/12: I joined Le Sueur Rotary because I was invited by Dave Johnson and he told me that Rotary was a great way to connect to important people in the community. I've stayed in Rotary for the past five years because the people are phenomenal and the work we do matters. Nate Warden

04/28/12: I joined Rotary because of the fellowship we share each week. Julie Boyland

04/27/12: I joined the Le Sueur Rotary as a way to meet, make friendships, and become involved with our community. An added bonus has been the insightful information I have gained through the programs we have every week. Rich Hanson

0/3/12/12: The fellowship, the team vehicle for doing local good deeds, the weekly programs, the structure yet the ability locally to be informal and a bit irreverent, the vehicle for doing international good works thru an organization I can trust that my $$ are reaching their purpose in a substantial manner and with accountability. (My wife was so jazzed to see that we could help build a well in an Indian community with her name on a plague for $175) And I enjoy seeing the diverse talents of our many members, not unlike guys who can put websites like this together . Bob Oberle

03/12/12: Not only do we make an impact in the Le Sueur area, we have the opportunity to have a far-reaching positive impact world-wide through the activities of Rotary International. Bonnie Barnhardt. MBA

03/12/12: I was invited by a couple of members to join in 1981 as we had just moved to town. The Rotary Club had an impressive list of members who were reputed to be the town’s official and unofficial leaders, successful and people who got things done. I was honored to be invited to join and anxious as what better opportunity to get a chance to know a number of people when you are new to a town. It was only after becoming a Rotarian that I was able to observe and understand the scope of its national and international reach and influence. Bob Oberle

03/04/2012: I joined the Le Sueur Rotary Club for the opportunity to spend time with like-minded professionals who make a positive impact in our community. Bonnie Barnhardt. MBA

01/16/2012: When I had an active practice I truly appreciated going to club meetings and discussing all sorts of topics without feeling obligated to discuss work. Jo E. Anderson

01/13/2012: It is great to be part of an organization that does so much good in our community and around the world. (Johnny Favolise)

01/12/2012: I enjoy the service aspect of Rotary as much as the fellowship. Jo E. Anderson.
